East Street Arts is a charitable organisation based in our neighbourhood, who enable communities to be innovative and influential within Leeds through creative activities. East Street Arts worked with BCF at the time of the Queen’s platinum jubilee to create a collection of portraits and stories about our members’ lives and memories of Queen Elizabeth’s reign. BCF have worked successfully with East Street Arts in the past, running groups, events and producing art projects together. We have found them to have an understanding and empathy for the people we work with, always willing to help. They practice inclusive interventions through art, and secure better livelihoods for artists and local people, while addressing the complex issues of economic and commercial decline in East Leeds
