Main Purpose of the Role: The Deputy Manager supports the overall management of the charity and delivery of services that improve the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of older people. The role works closely with the CEO to ensure high-quality social opportunities and outreach support are planned, delivered, and continually improved in line with the charity’s values and objectives. The role helps to coordinate day-to-day operations, supports staff management and manages our volunteering strategy, ensuring services are safe, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of older people. A key focus of the role is reducing social isolation, promoting confidence, independence, and enabling older people to remain active and connected within their community. In the CEO’s absence, the Deputy Manager will take responsibility for service coordination, decision-making, and staff support, helping ensure continuity of service and high standards.
